Computer Lab
Guru Nanak College for women is providing education in the field of Technical Field from the last two decade. Well-designed and separate computer labs for students, run by a well-educated and qualified faculty, with one-on-one access, which means there is one computer for each student. There are more than 50 computers in our three labs currently. Completely air conditioned lab has systems which are interconnected via LAN facility. All computer labs equipped with multimedia projectors where teachers and students present their presentations related to study topics and project work. The objective of the Network Resource Centre is to create awareness among staff and students about the use of computer in various activities like administration, examination and research. It is running under the supervision of Mrs. Sandeep Kaur. Fully Air conditioner Network Resource Center running in this college & provide free Wi-Fi Internet service to staff. It has 5 Computers, Printer. Teachers and students can use these facilities during their free time. A separate register is maintained for keeping the details.
Cosmetology Lab
Cosmetology department is established in the premises of the College near the staff quarters. Step into an exciting and rewarding career path that prepares you to work in cosmetology including hair care, skin care, and nail care. Our established programs feature experienced and accomplished faculty who bring the classroom to life, teaching you the essential skills required for a professional career in cosmetology. Gain practical experience in our professional salon on campus, work toward your cosmetology license and prepare to launch your cosmetology career.
Sports Stadium
The sports department of the college provides opportunities for the students to participate in different sports activities like Badminton, Football, Athletics, Volleyball and Chess etc. The College also has a well equipped gymnasium to maintain physical fitness of the students. Our college has stadium which includes track of 400 hundred meter and football field.
Fashion Designing
Fashion Designing is one of the subjects among the students. One of the most creative course options, Fashion Designing is a prosperous vocational education stream not only in India but abroad also. The Fashion industry has grown in leaps and bounds and that too within a decade. Home Science Lab
The College has an ultra modern and well equipped Home-Science Lab where students are acquainted with hands on knowledge and skills. We have different sections in the lab for different activities like, cooking, stitching, and embroidery, and home management. This lab is fully equipped with a cooking range, microwave, refrigerator, hot plates and all other required equipments. The experienced teachers give students training and guidance in the fields of food & nutrition, clothing & textile and home management.
Library
Library plays a dominant role in catering to educational, informational and recreational requirements of the institution. The College library has a well-stocked and rich collection of books on various subjects. Approximately 26000 books, covering topics like arts, science, computer science, sociology, political science, etc., 25 journals & magazine and 10 newspapers are in easy access for the students & teachers. The College library is fully air-conditioned and can accommodate 100 students.
Language Lqbs
While English is being taught from 1st grade in Punjab, the proficiency in the language needs considerable improvement, especially in communicational aspects such as listening, speaking skills and phonetics. This problem, somehow, is due to very little actual communication practice, even though the curriculum is otherwise satisfactory. The language lab is a technological breakthrough for imparting such skills in this domain. Language labs can solve this problem and make English learning process highly effective, interesting and intrinsic for both teachers and students, alike. Language laboratories, have become essential in developing essentials communication skills of Listening, Speaking, Reading and Writing. The college has separate language labs for English as well as Functional Punjabi.
